WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT IT:
The beautiful waterways of the eastern extent of the Okavango Delta play host to Sandibe. The rooms themselves are elevated for maximum appreciation of the surrounding areas, and the rich and plentiful species of game that roam its land and waterways.
Simple lines that feature elegant copper hues with natural earthy tones, blending well with the wood furniture, furnish the fixed rooms. Fireplaces provide a warm space in the colder evenings of the winter months.
Plenty of activities are on offer to highlight your safari experience. It is not only home to a wonderful array of game - from lion and elephant to many ubiquitous smaller species - but with over 450 bird species, it is a bird watchers paradise too, in season.
Game drives and guided walks get you up close and personal with your favorites among Africa’s impressive fauna.
We think that Sandibe offers a good balance between offering many of the luxuries of some of the pricier camps, whilst being significantly more affordable than some. If you’re traveling in a small group we recommend doing a dinner on their detached open-air deck on one evening of your stay.
