WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT IT:
Amanzi camp is a small-tented camp located on the Lower Zambezi River. Amanzi, which means water in Tonga, is a peaceful and private camp for guests. With only 4 tents, two of which are inter-leading creating a family unit, guests can have a private getaway at this camp.
Tents are large and very well proportioned, which is a big advantage. Each tent has a private deck and lounge area where guests can relax between game drives, as well as an indoor and outdoor shower.
The main camp has a large sundeck with an infinity pool overlooking the river. The surrounding area is a popular location for a herd of bull elephants, which stroll through the camp regularly and can be easily spotted whilst guests are on the dining deck. Amanzi Camp has a number of exciting safari activities from game drives to walking safaris and canoeing.
In comparison to it’s sister camp - Anabezi Camp - it gives guests a more private and secluded safari experience, and we like it for guests that want an exclusive experience, but still like to stay in touch with the basics. The camp is elegant, and well styled without being pretentious, offering a very relaxed, comfortable safari retreat.
